Simon founded Box-it in 1986 and has overseen key changes in its development. In 1995, he successfully introduced the concept of franchising that gave the company a national presence.

Today, there are more than a dozen Box-it sites across the UK and Ireland.

In 2004, Simon introduced confidential shredding, with waste paper recycling being a major aspect.

Outside his role for Box-it, Simon supports and is involved with many charities.
